Cookies
A cookie is basically a small packet of information sent by a server to a web browser which is then sent back by the browser. The purpose of cookies is to track and maintain specific information about site visitors. This type of tracking, however, has caused concern with privacy issues because of the type of information they record. Some programs allow users to choose whether or not to allow cookies, but disabling them make some website unusable.
