Blacklists
To 'blacklist' is to deny a certain party a particular privilege. On the Web, blacklisting is a form of access control for Web sites, programs or other illegal-type applications. On the contrary, a whitelist blocks everybody except for those approved as "safe". Blacklists and whitelists are terms often used by e-mail marketers to explain the filtering of, rejection and acceptance of e-mail addresses.
