iTunes
iTunes is a free digital music and video player that is compatible with the iPod, both created by Apple Computer, Inc. iTunes was launched in 2001 and allows users to import songs from cds into iTunes as well as download songs for $0.99 each. Songs can then be transferred onto an iPod or certain mobile phones. iTunes users can create playlists, download podcasts, share music using the Bonjour local network, or download music videos. iTunes is noted for its usability and can be downloaded onto a Mac or PC. The creation of pay-per-download music is revolutionizing the music industry and will continue to change the way people buy and listen to music.
