Agency Glossary
Paid Placement
Paid placement refers to a specific type of advertisement that appears at the top of a search engine results page or as a sponsored link, appearing in order of price with the most expensive ad showing up at the top. Paid placement advertisements are a means to bypass other techniques, such as website keyword optimization, and move directly to the top of a search engine. This type of advertisement is sometimes seen by search engine users as less reputable and may be bypassed by some people. Businesses measure the effect of paid placement advertisements to determine their true value.
