MindComet's Broadband Website Sweeps Up Awards, Quadruples Web User Visits
MindComet’s Broadband Website v5.0 (www.mindcomet.com) continues to be recognized by leaders in the Web development industry. The site was recently featured as Macromedia’s Site of The Day, and has been designated as an “Outstanding Concept” by NetDiver.com.
The recent recognition adds to the site’s long list of accolades, which include Cool Site of the Day, Cool Site of the Month and OAF Best of Interactive. “We are truly honored to receive this type of praise from our peers,” commented MindComet President Ted Murphy. “It reaffirms our commitment to developing groundbreaking broadband websites.”
The awards have driven an incredible amount of traffic to the site. User visits have quadrupled since the launch of the redesign, and bandwidth consumption has increased ten fold over MindComet’s previous broadband site. “Our servers have delivered over 40Gigybates of audio, video, Flash and Shockwave content in the 10 weeks the site has been live,” said Andrew Watson, Director of Integration Technology. “Web users are hungry for rich media, and our site delivers.”
MindComet is currently conducting a site review and planning for the next major upgrade. “We will continue to push the edge of the envelope with the next release,” commented Murphy. “While the technology has come a long way, broadband Web development is still in its infancy.”
