Fox Television’s SPEED Channel, dedicated to motor sports, is among the fastest growing sports cable networks in the country. The Barrett-Jackson Auction Company creates some of the largest automotive events in the world including top-rated auto auctions, which are semi-annually broadcast on SPEED Channel. The Fantasy Bid promotion is designed to leverage cross-media channels through every hour of on-air programming during live events.
MindComet devised a contest to allow visitors the ability to place digital “fantasy bids” during the auction for a chance to win cash and prizes through both online and mobile entry. Simultaneously coordinating with on air programing, the solution integrated live television, mobile, email and community activation components, providing SPEED and Barrett-Jackson insights into viewer behavior and media consumption preferences while delivering site traffic and brand exposure.
