The promotion called on America to nominate and vote for their favorite charity that they’d like to see win the grand prize of a Social Media Makeover, valued at $25,000. In August 2009, a winner will be selected from the top ten charities that receive the most votes. Upon awarding the winner, MindComet will provide the winner with expert consulting services to help improve their social media presence and fundraising outreach.
Anyone with an E-mail address can visit CommuniCause.com and nominate a charity or vote for a previously-nominated organization. The site structure consists of a voting engine updated daily and social media tools, including a CommuniCause Facebook Fan Page, Twitter profile, badges and links—allowing participants to easily share campaign information and rally more voters to their cause.
